For decades the University of Mississippi has held a monopoly on cannabis for federally approved cannabis research. The cannabis grown is of limited variety and potency leaving much to be desired.
This may now all change as the US House of Representatives passed HR 3797 Medical Cannabis Research Act to facilitate federally approved clinical trials. The act requires the federal government to expand the field of registered manufacturers and allows access to flower and products through state authorized programs.
